Code Enforcement

Community Development funds supplement the budget of the Neighborhood Preservation Office’s code enforcement program in the Walden, Pine-Hill and Cedargrove Heights neighborhoods. This allows that office’s housing inspectors to conduct additional housing inspections in those areas, thereby helping to maintain the property standards of both owner-occupied and rental housing units. Code enforcement, along with housing rehabilitation, is an important element in preserving a neighborhood’s housing stock and maintaining property values.
