Tree Planting
New trees are planted (in the Town's Right-of-Way). The next planting is scheduled for late spring in 2010. Pictures of available trees can be viewed at that time. The type of tree that is planted is determined by the trees that already exist on the street/area.
Requesting a Dead Tree Removal
- The Highway Department can only remove a Town tree which is in the Town's Right-of-Way.

Leaf Pickup
Leaves will be picked up throughout the Town beginning November 2nd. The Town will be divided into four (4) Districts. Each District will have their leaves picked up twice UNLESS the snow appears. Once the snow season begins, leaves will not be picked up again until the Spring.
Please Follow The Guidelines Below:
- Place leaves in an OPEN plastic container and place it at the roadside UNTIL the snow appears (picked up on your scheduled garbage day).
- Or place leaves at curbside (picked up on your scheduled "District" week---see below schedule). If it snows, leaves will not be picked up using this procedure until the Spring.
- During the winter months (approximately November 1st through April 1st), place leaves in plastic bags (picked up on your scheduled garbage day).
- Do not place brush or branches in with leaves.
