Fitness Classes

Tuesdays –
9 -10am
Thursdays – 9-10am
Come and join our fitness instructor, Kim Kawa, for an hour of exercise.   There are standing and floor exercises.   All classes provide an excellent workout and you will be reminded to work at your own pace.   Participants are encouraged to dress comfortably, wear sneakers, bring a mat or towel to lay on and 1-3 lb hand-held weights are optional.   We have introduced some circuit training equipment for our Saturday class to change the pace a bit.

Fitness Room
$35 per year
$55 per year non-resident
Room is open M-F 9:00am - 4:15pm
 Every Participant must get a Doctor’s release every year)  For your first time using the room, set up an appointment with Kim.  Our fitness room contains 5 treadmills, 5 exercise bikes, 3 rowing machines, and 2 elliptical machines.

Chair Excercise
Tuesdays – 10 -10:45am
Join Kim for this fitness class using a chair. Great addition to the fitness classes or a standalone class for those who are not as sturdy on their feet.

Dress comfortably, bring a mat or towel to sit on and get ready for a wonderful, relaxing class 
                        of meditation and stretching … your body and mind will thank you for it.


Chair Yoga
$3 per class. Join anytime – new participants are always welcome!
Fridays - 10:15am - 11:15am

Dress comfortably, relaxing class of meditation and stretching …  without getting down on the 
                       ground like traditional Yoga... your body and mind will thank you for it.


                        Tai Chi
$38 per 8 week session Wednesday’s -
9:30 - 10:30am
Please call 686-3930 for next session start date.  This class is for all levels and abilities, from beginner through intermediate and advanced.  Research has shown that people with balance problems who take Tai Chi classes significantly improve their balance thus reducing the risk of falling.  Tai Chi also increases your strength, concentration and body awareness and may even lower your blood pressure.  All around Tai Chi does your body good.

Line Dance
 Join anytime – new participants are always welcome!
Thursdays 10-11:15 am - Advanced/Intermediate $3, 11:15-12pm - Beginner $2.50, Come join Beverly as she teaches a variety of line dances that will get you moving.  These classes are ongoing. Come and give it a try.

$3 per class
Mondays, 6:00pm - 7:00pm
Zumba is an fusion of latin and International music with dance themes creating a dynamic, exciting, effective fitness system!  It targets areas such as the glutes, legs, arms and the most important muscle - the Heart!  Dance experience is not needed.  Come and dance with Julia! These classes are ongoing.
