Tree Planting Update
New trees, based on availability, are offered to Cheektowaga homeowners for spring and/or fall plantings.  Trees can only be planted within the town's right-of-way.  To request a tree planting, call 686-3450 or email: and include your name, phone number and address.
“What You Should Know About Cheektowaga’s Time of Sale/ I & I Requirements” seminar

On Thursday, May 24th at 1:00 pm Dan Lelito & Rick Coburn from the Building Inspection Department will be in the banquet hall at the Cheektowaga Senior Center for a “What You Should Know About Cheektowaga’s Time of Sale/ I & I Requirements” seminar.

Many residents who are thinking about selling their home are unsure or misinformed about what is required before they can sell. The time of sale requirements INCLUDING DO I OR DO I NOT HAVE TO HAVE A SUMP PUMP BEFORE I SELL? will be explained and there will be plenty of time for questions.

This seminar is FREE and open to the public but we do ask that residents call the Senior Center office at 686-3930 to register so we know how many guests to expect. Light refreshments will be served.

Registration begins for 2018
Cheektowaga Independence Day Parade
Supervisor Diane Benczkowski and the Town of Cheektowaga have announced plans to once again sponsor and organize the Cheektowaga Independence Day parade at Town Park.  The 42nd installment of the parade will take place on Wednesday, July 4th starting at 12:00 p.m.  The parade route begins at the Walden Avenue entrance of the Thruway Plaza shopping center and continues east down Harlem Road ending at Cheektowaga Town Park.  

Individuals, groups and organizations that are interested in participating in the parade are asked to complete and submit a participation form to the Supervisor’s office no later than Friday, June 1st.

How to report street lights not working

In order to assist our residents expedite concerns with a street light, please call Cheektowaga Highway at 686-3450. We will forward the complaint to the Traffic Signal Technician in our Traffic Maintenance Unit.

Please note that in some cases the lamp pole may not be owned/maintained by the town, however, we will contact the utility company that own/maintains the pole on your behalf.
